I’m twenty nine years old though my appearance more closely resembles a twenty one year old while my internals likely mirror a forty year old. I was born in Las Vegas but moved to San Diego when I was young. Since then I have gone to college in Durham, North Carolina and Glasgow, Scotland and have lived in Washington D.C., San Diego, New Orleans, Miami, Barcelona and most recently Cairo. I wish that I could take my favorite piece of every city where I’ve lived, mix them into one, and call it home for the rest of my life. Since that won’t happen, I doubt I’ll ever permanently settle in a single city — and I’m ok with that. I’m addicted to news – especially the breaking type – and like all things Lakers, Dodgers, Duke, Glasgow Celtic and horse racing. My favorite places are airports and train stations, my favorite days are Throwback Thursdays, and my favorite investments are commodities. I idolize Alexander Dubcek’s courage, War Emblem’s ambivalence, Tupac’s rise, Charlie Rose’s ability to converse, and fictionally Daniel Plainview’s ambition. The Wire was the greatest television show ever produced. I love California and believe that the following quote most closely captures its aura: ‘Now as in 1848, the belief that wealth follows from a run of luck fosters among the californians a willingness to deal the cards, take the chance, entertain the proposition from the gentleman wearing the mismatched boots or the lady with the parrot. who knows? maybe one of them will bring rain.’ My motto is In Due Time.
